Clinical Placements E-portfolio

This e-portfolio is designed for you to record, and reflect upon your clinical experiences across the physiotherapy program. This record will enable you, and the Monash University clinical placement staff, to track your clinical journey against the Australian and New Zealand Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds. You can also use the e-portfolio to store evidence of achievement, development and competence that may be useful for future job applications.

You will be required to log an entry for each clinical placement. The website will allow you to login, update your progress, and add further detail at any time. You can also log entries for clinical experiences additional to your core course requirements (e.g. work as an allied health assistant or sports trainer).

Please complete and submit an entry when you have finished each placement. Start a new entry for each new placement.

The website will keep a record of your experiences. Only you and Monash University clinical placement education staff will be able to view your e-portfolio. In line with professional standards, you are expected to uphold professional behaviours such as confidentiality and de-identification of any entries involving clients or clinical site staff. We hope to provide you with access to these records following completion of your course.

Periodically, we will collate and de-identify data summaries to provide feedback to our accreditation bodies and health services. This is so we can continuously improve the clinical learning experience for you.

You must sign up with your Monash email and your first and last name. We use these details to identify you and your completion of any clinical unit hurdle requirements.

The program has five tabs:

  1. Entries: view completed entries and edit ‘in progress’ entries. Completed entries are locked from further editing, but can be ‘trashed’ to remove them from your student record. Only you will continue to see them in your portal and can re-instate them if you wish.
  2. Summary: view overall statistics about your placements and use these to help identify your clinical practice gaps and future learning goals.
  3. Practice thresholds: track your development against the Australian and New Zealand Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds throughout your degree by recording how your clinical experiences align with the thresholds. You can also use these thresholds to inform your future learning goals.
  4. Add evidence: store notes, evidence, links or documents of your clinical placement experiences to assist in the preparation of job applications.
  5. New entry: start a new entry for a new clinical placement. You will be prompted if you have any entries currently ‘in progress’.
